Legalisation fees
To submit your documents for legalisation or authentication, you will have to pay a Legalisation/Authentication fee and a Service fee.
- Legalisation/Authentication fee - collected on behalf of the Embassy of Germany in Cairo;
- Service fee - collected for the processing of your documents at the TLScontact centre.

The legalisation/authentication fee, which is only collectible in EGP, may change as a result of currency fluctuation.
The service fee, mandatory for any legalized document, it is payable online or by Fawry stores during the appointment booking process, the service fee is EUR 5.00 / EGP 300.00 for one document.
The service fee, mandatory for any Certified document, it is payable online or by Fawry stores during the appointment booking process, the service fee is EUR 21.00 / EGP 1,250.00 for one document.
*In the case of a copy of mixed documents of Latin and Arabic characters, Arabic character fees shall be applied to the entire document.
Due to a revision of the German Foreign Costs Law the fee for the additional value added service authentication of copies is changed. According to the new Federal Foreign Office Special Fee Ordinance, applicants are no longer allowed to bring their own copies of documents. All copies of the original document must be made by TLScontact inside the visa application centre.
Starting from 19th of March 2022, TLScontact will impose a fee of 21 EUR as an all-inclusive service fee for the copy certification service per original document, irrespective of how many copies have to be made of this original document and irrespective of the original document’s page count.
